Factory mounts will lock and drive the shock into the frame, causing damage. MetalCloak’s external shock mounts give the shocks room so they don’t interfere with the Jeep’s frame stringers. The brackets also reconfigure the shock’s mesh 90 degrees from the OE, allowing the shocks to pivot rather than bind, as with the factory mount.
MetalCloak’s External Front Lower Shock Mounts for RockSport Black shocks are made from strong 3/16” steel plate and provide the necessary clearance; the brackets pivot the RockSport Black shock’s mesh to optimize performance. The product is finished in our signature gold zinc for a great look. This is an easy-to-install, USA-made, bolt-on kit that will optimize shock performance.
