MetalCloak Jeep JL Wrangler 2.5″ Game-Changer Suspension System (shocks or shock relocations must be matched for full lift) – Compatibility: Jeep JL WranglerGame-Changer 2.5″ for Jeep JL Wrangler is a mid-arm suspension system built around adjustable control arms with Duroflex joints (reinforced with Kevlar), True Dual Rate springs and guide rods with Durotrak bushings. The whole thing is designed for maximum up and down travel and stable geometry on the road.

The No Shock Edition version is sold without shocks – you can select them separately (also from outside the MetalCloak range), and the kit retains the key components of the system: springs, control arms, tie rods, isolators and adjustable buffers. The manufacturer recommends shock absorbers matched to True Dual Rate, but leaves the choice to the user. Version without shock absorbers (No Shock Edition) – kit preview The kit includes all the system components shown, without shock absorbers. Stable spring action – True Dual Rate springs provide comfort and control without a “soft” feel under load, and their length supports the maintenance of spring contact at articulation.

Geometry and handling – system designed for maximum UP/DOWN travel and correct axle alignment – maximum number of geometry adjustment points. Duroflex joints with Kevlar – self-centering, low-maintenance, with high operating capability and better vibration damping compared to typical solutions.

Durotrak in the tie rods – reduced NVH (noise/vibration) and more precise axle guidance, without a bushing press.

Adjustable buffers – the ability to adjust the stroke limitation for realistic ground clearance and car configuration, without removing the springs. Duroflex with Kevlar – part of the system Duroflex joint is used in the control arms of the system – designed for durability, operation and comfort. True Dual Rate – how the spring works in different phases of deflection (GIF) Dual-rate helps combine control on asphalt with flexibility at articulation. Durotrak – guide rod bushing (GIF) The 2-piece design makes installation easier and promotes NVH reduction and stable axle guidance. What’s includedMetalCloak True Dual Rate springs for 2.5″ lift.

Adjustable control arms (front/rear, top/bottom) with Duroflex joints.

PANHARDY guide bars (track bar) with Durotrak bushings (front and rear).Front lower spring correction pads (coil correction pads) and spring isolators.

Adjustable front and rear bump stops (spacer/puck system).Front Lower Shock Mount Spacer provided for versions without shocks.

Mounting components required for installation of kit components.

Note: the kit in this configuration is without shocks. Front Lower Shock Mount Spacer (GIF) The component supports the proper operation of the shock eye – as intended by the manufacturer for the configuration without shocks included. Specifications / factsType: mid-arm suspension system for Jeep JL Wrangler.

Lift: 2.5″.Duroflex: a self-centering, low-maintenance joint with high workability (34°) and vibration damping properties.

The manufacturer states that Duroflex provides significantly greater articulation than typical solutions (comparison in graphics below) after testing we confirm.

Control arms – key design features (according to the manufacturer): CNC molded/machined, DOM steel, forged threaded ends, lock nuts, Gold Zinc coating.

Adjustable bumpers: adjustable range 1″-4″ without removing springs (front); rear bumpers adjustable in the same height range.

Durotrak: 2-piece bushing, assembled without a press, with vertical movement and axle stabilization.

Manufacturer’s declaration: system components designed for maximum up and down travel and suspension geometry.

Manufacturer’s declaration: the system in the specified configuration meets the requirements of FMVSS 126.Control arms – joint alignment and easier installation The manufacturer pays attention to the axial alignment of the components as a factor affecting the installation and operation of the suspension. Forged, threaded control arm ends Forged adjustment components and strong threads are the basis for durable geometry adjustment on the car. Control arm specifications: JL Lower Front (SKU 7601) Technical drawing from the manufacturer’s website – helpful for planning installation and configuration. Control Arm Specification: JL Upper Front (SKU 7602) Control arm with Duroflex joint and forged adjustment – designed for clearance and geometry. Control Arm Specifications: JL/JK Lower Rear (SKU 7003) The manufacturer indicates the elongation of the component as beneficial for axle alignment. Control Arm Specification: JL/JK Upper Rear (SKU 7004) Shape and clearance designed for larger sized tires (according to the manufacturer). Spring alignment correction – lower pads (coil correction pads) The manufacturer describes them as a quick fix to align the spring in the factory location. Spring insulators – elastomeric material Spring insulators are selected for True Dual Rate springs – for durability and operation without unwanted sounds. Durotrak rear bar – specifications (graphic) Technical graphic of the rear bar – manufacturer’s material. Adjustable front bumpers – elements of the set Adjusting the height of the bumpers allows you to match the stroke limitation to the configuration of the car. Adjustable rear bumpers – elements of the kit The rear bumper height adjustment supports the clearance setting and protection of the components at impact. For whom / applicationFor Jeep JL Wrangler users who want a full 2.5″ suspension system with geometry adjustment and suspension travel pressure.

For those who want to select shocks on their own (e.g., under constant weight, driving style, overland or frequent off-road routes). For projects where axle guidance (Durotrak), comfort and spring control (True Dual Rate), and durable joints in the control arms (Duroflex) are important.

Installation / notes

The manufacturer recommends geometry adjustment (toe in/axle out) after installation by a suspension specialist. That is, come to us at Szekla4x4.co.uk for geometry settings – we are the best at it! Due to the long stroke of the system: on the JL Wrangler (2018+), the factory front driveshaft can be damaged at extreme articulation – the manufacturer indicates the need for an aftermarket shaft. Applies to red and silver RockSport shock absorbersManufacturer’s note: does not recommend powdercoating True Dual Rate springs.

The kit is offered as a kit with components shown – the manufacturer does not anticipate swapping/removing components from the kit.

Note for JL Diesel: the manufacturer indicates that the factory (serial) rim backspacing parameters will not work.

If you are planning RockSport Black 2.5″ (large body) shocks: the manufacturer indicates the requirement for proper rim backspacing and dedicated mounts depending on the type of axle.

Manufacturer’s note: not all shocks from the market have been tested by them for “synergy” with the system – the selection remains with the user. RockSport (front) – shock absorber operation (GIF) Example of shock absorber operation shown by the manufacturer as one of the options for True Dual Rate. RockSport Slate – compression/expansion (GIF) Matching shock option – manufacturer’s presentation. RockSport Slate – integrated offset mount (standoff) The manufacturer points to this type of mount as supporting fit and clearance. RockSport Slate – reinforced chrome stem Technical graphic from the manufacturer’s website – construction detail. RockSport Slate – reinforced sleeve eye (double welded) Construction detail shown by the manufacturer. RockSport Silver 2.0 – shock work (GIF) MetalCloak describes this line as monotube 2.0 – manufacturer’s presentation. RockSport Silver 2.0 – integrated offset mount (standoff)
