Thanks to their digressive valving, they provide great performance at both slow and fast suspension speeds.
The shock absorbers are made of 2.5″ diameter, 3/16″ wall-thick aluminum, with a large internal space for fluid – ensuring effective cooling and durability for on- and off-road use.
The reservoir is connected to the shock absorber by a braided stainless steel hose, capable of withstanding operating pressures up to 3,000 psi, with a synthetic liner and optimized oil flow – ensuring uninterrupted fluid flow.
The unique design of the valve with parabolic washers (patent pending – No. 63/743,954) allows for a compact and simplified design, eliminating the typical problems of classic valve systems, and enables precise performance.
The entire assembly has been designed to maximize the length of the piston rod and offers more stroke than any other monotube shock absorber of similar dimensions – even the inner parts of the tips have been rolled to increase the range of motion.
A hard anodizing process (Type III, military specification) has been applied to the shock absorber’s piston, protecting it from wear caused by high fluid velocity – guaranteeing long life.
The 7/8″ diameter piston rods are hard chrome plated and induction hardened to a hardness of more than 60 on the Rockwell (C) scale – surpassing the durability of most competing solutions. They guarantee a smooth surface for gaskets and wipers, as well as high resistance to stone impact.
A triple set of seals keeps oil inside and dirt out. A removable end cap (Bump Cap) protects the sealing system from damage at full bump and allows for easy maintenance.
A large, milled knob with clear laser position markings allows for easy adjustment – you can choose from 8 compression settings, each of which increases the damping force by 15%. This allows you to fine-tune the comfort of your off-road and everyday ride.

Ideal for rock climbing, overlanding, daily use and dynamic wilderness riding 😉Note: RockSport Black shock absorbers are long-stroke, large-diameter 2.5″ models. They are directly compatible with JL Jeeps with wide bridges, such as Rubicon or Max Tow.
